Job Description
MANAGER SUPPLY CHAIN
Reporting to: Director-BD & Divisional ManagerPlace of work: SEZ Aerospace Park, Bangalore
The Roles & Responsibilities1. Responsible for evaluating, assessing, and selecting vendors based on capabilities, performance, and consistent quality. Maintains rapport and good working relationships with vendors; keeps accurate vendor records. 2. Evaluates inventory reorder levels and quantity price breaks to determine the most economical purchasing of inventory and supplies in relation to the company’s cost of capital. Prepares monthly reports and reviews the forecast of purchasing commitments with Finance. 3. Responsible for buying capital goods 4. Manage & expedite purchase orders as necessary and ensure delivery of purchased items for uninterrupted manufacturing flow. 5. Responsible for meeting inventory turnover ratio targets 6. Liaison with the production department to keep optimum Inventory. 7. Liaison with the Finance department for the timely payment of bills 8. Responsible for checking skill matrices before allocating tasks to employees.9. Providing documents for the clearance of imported goods 10. Compliance with QMS – AS9100 standards11. Performs other purchasing or inventory control duties as necessary
Education & Experience: BE Mechanical with 12 to 15 years of experience in Purchase/ Procurement/ SCM in Aerospace machined components companies.
Skill Sets & Knowledge Required:
1. Experience in buying capital goods/Direct materials2. Knowledge of the rules and regulations of indirect taxes.3. Should have good knowledge of SAP 4 HANA & worked ina SAP environment.4. Should be a good negotiator5. Leadership quality – Should be able to lead and mentor a team6. Excellent written and verbal skills7. Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.8. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Projects.9. Good Knowledge of Incoterms10. AS9100 Standard knowledge11. Should have strong interpersonal skills and a strategic thought process.12. Should be system system-driven work approach.13. Should have good knowledge of import & export documentation.14. Should know SEZ rules & regulations.
